Original and Reproduction Sales

A unique opportunity to acquire original watercolours and signed Limited Edition prints from Alan Ingham's own collection of his works and currently owned by his family. Also a collection of superb giclee reproductions, of yet unpublished works.

Originals

The Ingham family are releasing a number of originals which have been in their possession since they were painted by Alan. The paintings are all in excellent condition and are professionally mounted and framed behind glass.

Provenance

Each painting is provided with full provenance. A written statement is offered confirming the painting has been in continuous ownership by Alan and his wife and/or daughter since it was completed. Other details will be provided extracted from the register of work (e.g. number, date of completion, subject matter and caption) and which Alan meticulously maintained from 1972 until his death.

Pricing

Pricing for each peice has been established based on professional advice which took into account various factors such as provenance, family ownership, quality and the current market. Since the price is indicative, serious offers are invited and will be considered by the family.

Signed Limited Edition Prints

Alan is probably best known the limited editions of his work published by his agent and renowned art publishers Washington Green. Approximately 70 paintings were published over a fifteen year period in editions from 350 to 850, each one signed, numbered and sometimes titled by Alan himself. From every edition, Alan retained 4 or 5 prints for his own archive, which over time became a substantial collection. The few remaining limited editions which are available are listed here.

Proof of Artist Ownership

Each print is provided with a 'Certificate of Authenticity' signed by Rose Ingham as proof of Alan's/Ingham family ownership.

Collections

Fells and Dales is a collection of beautiful views travelling across the Lake District through the connecting vales to the Western and Northen regions of the Yorkshire Dales.
Rosie's Choice is an eclectic selection of favourite works which have been chosen by Alan's wife Rose. The collection includes paintings from France and northern Italy.

All the paintings have been faithfully reproduced by state-of-the-art technology using the giclee printing technique. It offers the highest quality of reproduction possible on fine museum grade paper which offers a quality of artists watercolour paper. The result is a beautiful and faithful reproduction maintaining the full integrity of the of the original.

Limited Commemorative Editions

Each edition is limited to a number of 195. Although Alan is no longer around to personally to offer his personal signature, each print is accompanied by a Commemorative Edition Certificate and the signature of Rose Ingham which is her confirmation of, and agreement to the publication and by this reproduction process.

For Alan Ingham Signed Limited Editions, the prints will be delivered flat and contained within robust packaging. Postage, packaging and insurance will incur an sucharge of £20.00 within the United Kingdom. For shipments outside the UK, a surcharge quotation will be offered at the time of enquiry or order. Please allow 28 days for delivery.

For Commemorative Limited Editions the prints will be delivered in a tube in protective material. The prints are printed from a paper roll, which offers a natural loose curl and so allows for this type of packaging. A surcharge of £10.00 is required for postage and packaging in the United Kingdom. For shipments outside the UK, a surcharge quotation will be offered at the time of enquiry or order. Please allow 28 days for delivery.
